Doris A. Faulds, 82, formerly of 700 N. Market Street, Galion died Monday, Nov. 7, 2005 at Rosewood Manor Nursing Center, Galion after an extended illness.

Born April 10, 1923 in Glencoe, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Edward Jeffreys and Alice Schreffler Jeffreys. She was preceded in death on Feb. 16, 1997 by her husband, Donald P. Faulds, Sr. whom she married on April 11, 1941.

She was a member of First St. Mark United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Rebekah Circle. Along with her husband, Doris was very active in Naomi Chapter 47 Order of Eastern Star, where she served several times as Worthy Matron, the Galion Masonic orders, the Galion Ladies Shrine Club, Galion Elk’s Lodge and the Firemen and Enginemen Wives in Crestline. She was actively involved many years in the Women’s Breakfast Club Bowling League and the Valley View Women’s Golf League. She liked working in her yard, visiting neighbors, crafting, sewing and taking her dog, Pixie, for walks.

She was a devoted homemaker and mom and enjoyed spending time with her family and being a loving grandmother.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald P. Jr. and Rosie Faulds and Scott and Lynn Faulds, of Galion; four daughters and sons-in-law, Claudia and Kenneth Deisch, of Galion, Sandie and Cal Merrill, of Wooster, Pam and Dale Hager, of Raleigh, N.C. and Janice and Joe Basciano, of Corona, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, Rachelle Faulds-Zehe, Ashley DeFrancisco, Wendy Fry, Tracy McDaniel, Craig Merrill, Kristi Andrews, Keely Stubbs, Jessica Basciano, Paul Basciano, LeeAnn Deisch, Kurt Deisch, Ryan Faulds, Nicki Faulds and Eric Faulds; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Carl Jeffreys of Orlando, Fla. and Wallace and Nancy Jeffreys of Jeffersonville, Pa.; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Olive Lilley of Malvern, Pa., Joyce and Jim Devlin of Webster Groves, Mo. and Joan and Steve Allen of Pope Valley, Ca. and one sister-in-law, Olga Jeffreys of Malvern, Pa..

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven; a daughter, Kelli and a brother, Warren Jeffreys.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2005 at First St. Mark United Methodist Church, 554 Portland Way North, Galion with Rev. Tom Matus and Rev. James Randas officiating.

Eastern Star memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Graveside committal services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
