Donald L. “Pete” Tate age 78 of Marion passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at DeWolfe House in Marion. Born May 2, 1933 in Marion to the late Joseph and Helene (Lee) Tate. Pete was a Korean War Veteran. He was owner of Tate Electric.

Survivors include four sons, Dennis Tate of Columbus, Joe Tate of Iberia, David (Tammy) Tate of Mt Gilead, Douglas Tate of Galion, two daughters Deborah Tate of New Albany, Deanna Taiclet of Fairbanks, Alaska, two brothers, Charles (Marie) Tate of San Diego, Andy (Farimae) Tate of Virginia Beach, sister in law Iris Tate of Little Rock, Arkansas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding Pete in death are his parents, brother John Tate, sister Carolyn Kennard, special friend Maggie Hammons.

Family will receive friends Friday, July 1, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. till 8: 00 p.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors in Marion, Ohio. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Gunder/Hall & Folk Funeral Directors with Pastor Tim Pasma officiating. Burial will follow in LaRue Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Marion County United Veterans Council.
