Donald L. Huggins, age 78, of Fredericktown, Ohio, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 26, 1938 in Fredericktown, Ohio the son of Linn “Tommy” and Grace (Graham) Huggins. Don was a 1956 graduate of Fredericktown High School. He retired in 2001 after 45 years of employment with Hubbell Power Systems in Wadsworth, the former Ohio Brass of Mansfield. Don also worked part time for Sears in Mansfield.

Don was a life member of the Owl Creek Church of the Brethren and a 50 plus year member of Thrall Lodge #170 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, York Rite Mason with membership in Clinton Chapter #26 Royal Arch Masons, Kinsman Council #26 Royal Select Masons and Clinton Commandery #5 Knights Templer of Mount Vernon and Ann Hill Chapter #81 Order of Eastern Star Fredericktown.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Leona (Grubaugh) Huggins, a son, James Huggins of Orlando, Florida, a daughter, Diane (Art) Prosser of Fredericktown, grandson, Corey (Chelsea) Prosser of Fredericktown and a brother, Ralph (JoEllen) Huggins of Westerville.

Don was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call on Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown, 33 E. College Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019 with Masonic service at 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Owl Creek Church of the Brethren, 13241 Toms Road, Bellville, Ohio 44813 with Pastor Charles Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

I only wish I could have made it home for his service and to express my condolences in person.
