MANSFIELD: Donald Kenneth “Kenny” Setser, Jr., 41, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 in OSU East Hospital in Columbus following an extended illness.
Don was born in Mansfield on January 14, 1968 to Donald and Ernestine (Crum) Setser and was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1986. Intelligent and bright Don graduated among the top 10 percent of his class.
On January 15, 1994 he married Susan Miller and together the two lived in Mansfield.
Don had an enthusiasm for nature, appreciating the beauty and wonder of God’s creation. He loved fishing…just about anywhere, but often went to Mifflin Lake and Clear Fork Reservoir. An avid outdoorsman, Don enjoyed the challenges of hunting deer, rabbit and squirrel. He was also a member of the NRA.
A man of strong faith and perseverance, Don was an active Christian, blessed with a wonderful heart. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, son, brother, uncle and friend.
Don is survived by his wife Susan Setser of Mansfield, parents Donald and Ernestine Setser of Mansfield; sister and brother-in-law Kimberly and Larry Diller of Mansfield; niece and nephew Kristina and Kyle Diller; maternal grandmother Dixie Crum of Mansfield; mother and father-in-law Danny and Barbara Miller of Mansfield; brother-in-law Dan Miller of Chillicothe; special friends Kathy Satterfield of Mansfield, Barry Burriss of Ashland, Garnetta Owens of Mansfield, Mike Jewell of Shelby as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Jess Crum, paternal grandparents Elbert and Edna Setser, special uncle, Robert Setser and aunt, Faye.
The Setser family will receive friends today, Thursday, July 30, 2009 from 5-8pm in the Finefrock Chapel of the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. Visitation at the funeral home will continue Friday morning from 10-11am where the funeral will begin at 11am. Burial will follow in Bunkerhill Cemetery.
