  • I first got to know Don when I worked at the switchboard at Mercy/Memorial Hospital and he and one of the other telephone guys would come to check or repair the phone equipment. They always had me laughing before they left. Then Don and Jean began attending our church and we got to know them even better. We had some good times and we miss that, but know he is now enjoying his rewards in heaven. Our love and prayers go out to Jean and family. 💞

  • I’m so very sorry to hear of Don’s passing. We grew up together and although miles have separated us for many years, I always so much enjoyed recalling the great times back then. We both worked during high school days on Claude Mizer farms and one day while loading hay onto a wagon, Don was pulling bales out of the bailer and grabbed ahold of a bale with a big snake partially sticking out. He passed it right on back to me, then almost fell off the wagon laughing when I almost fell off! We had to stop the driver while we recovered some dropped bales. I had hoped to stop and see Don last summer while back in Ohio but was not able to. Sure wish I could have. God bless to Jean and all the family, I’ll always remember Don as one of the “Good Guys”.

  • Jean I am so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. You two were great friends. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Looking at his picture, he still had that wonderful grin. Know you will always be remembered. I sent you a private message on Facebook when you feel like reading it.
