  • It’s both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so deeply. JR felt even deeper then that. His love, compassion, kind heart and sweet smile will live on in all that encountered him. Rest easy dude. You impacted me in ways I could never explain. You’ll be with me in all things. I love you.

  • My deepest condolences to JR’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of having met JR on a few occasions, and he was a kind-hearted and bright young man. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

  • I met JR probably 10 or more years ago when he was living with his father and brother in Marion. I remember thinking how intelligent he was and also how kind. I will always remember those days! Rest In Peace, JR! ❤️

  • I may have not know JR for a long time but long enough to feel like I’ve known him long enough, but I got to know him when he first started superior plastic, he was someone easy to talk to, and always brought a positive vibe into work, always came in with a smile, always had so much to say, and always learned new things from him, he wanted to hang out with me and my sister and show us around in Columbus since we were knew and didn’t know much about Ohio and he was the one to show us, taught us even more about Columbus, showed us all the cool restaurants he goes to, to enjoy his time, he truly was an amazing person and was a big impact in my life, made me look at the world in a different way.

  • JR was my best friend. I met DeWayne in college at Ohio Dominican. At our college orientation we were paired up as roommates for the night. I got to know him so well so quickly and were instantly friends. We each ended up rooming with another person, but the four of us; me, DeWayne, Ryan, and Hayden all became such great friends and made tons of memories. I graduated in 2017 and moved into my first apartment with DeWayne. We lived together for a whole year and grew closer and closer, going to concerts, festivals, going to movies together, restaurants, site seeing. I can truly say I could not have gotten my college degree or would be this far in life without him. He was there for me all of the milestones of my life, and we had something very special between us. He was by far the closest friend I’ve ever had and I will miss him forever. I love you always, buddy. – Your best bud, Drew

  • My first “boyfriend” at the innocent age of 10 yrs old. I couldn’t get over my excitement when he showed up at my 11th birthday party. I haven’t seen or spoken to him much since we graduated back in 2013, I wish I would have spoken to him more. Such a sweet soul, gone way too soon. JR may be gone now, but his light, and the impact he’s made on the people around him will linger on forever. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
