LEXINGTON: Delores B. Luckey, age 83, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 in her Lexington home surrounded by family.

She was born December 14, 1934 the daughter of Venice Walker who later married Howard Dove. On November 14, 1986, she married Richard “Dick” Luckey and they shared 24 wonderful years of marriage until he passed away in 2010. They are now together again.

Delores, affectionately known as Bernie, retired from Essex in Lexington where she worked for over 35 years. When she was able, she enjoyed attending Mansfield Baptist Temple.

In spare time, she took pleasure in tending to her flower garden and bird-watching. But above all, Delores cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law Jim and Cindy Wilson of Lexington, and Mike Wilson of Mansfield; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

In addition to her loving husband Dick, she was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Venice and Howard Dove; and son and daughter-in-law Charles and Rhonda Wilson.

A funeral service honoring her life will be held 2pm Saturday, March 24, 2018 in Snyder Funeral Homes, 2553 Lexington Avenue in Mansfield, and friends may call beginning at 1:30pm. Pastor Ethan Boggs will officiate and burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park near Lexington.
