Delbert Havens, 95, of Radnor died Tuesday evening at his residence. He was born January 12, 1914 in Lincoln County, West Virginia to Charles and Anna (Walls) Havens. He was a World War II United States Army veteran who retired from the State of Ohio. He had been a Delaware resident since 1945, a member of the AmVets Post #102, Delaware and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by a daughter, Rose Lee Havens Monnette of Radnor; 3 grandchildren, Brian Wieser, Jodie Monnette, and Nicole Curran; 1 great grandchild, Kaden Curran; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Bethel in 2003, daughter Mary Ann Tate in 2008, son Leslie Lucas in 1998, 6 brothers Claudie, Roy, Willie, Herman, Sylvester, and Danard, and 4 sisters Polly, Mary Bell, Daizy, and Rachael. The family will receive friends on Sunday February 1st from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, Delaware. Graveside services will be held on Monday February 2nd at 11:00 am at Radnor Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Keith officiating and the Delaware County Veterans Association providing military honors.
