David William Yocum, 69, of Galion passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus after a brief illness.

Born January 17, 1952 in Shamokin, Pennsylvania he was the son of William Stanley and Annabelle E. (Bish) Yocum.

He was a graduate of Galion High School in 1970. David enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his companion of 20 years, Mary Davis, he is survived by his mother, Annabelle Yocum of Galion; sons Brett (Kate) Yocum of Chanhassen, Minnesota and Jeff (Rachel) Davis of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren Tyler, Ryan and Ava Yocum, Jack, Josiah, Jedidiah and Imogen Davis; brother Steven (Lisa Davis) Yocum of Galion; sister Susan (Roger) Willis of Galion and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Yocum and an infant brother Joseph Yocum.

Keeping with David’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held.
