David H. Evans, 75, of Galion, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 at home.

Born Aug. 3, 1938 in Hamilton, he was the son of the late Arthur D. and Rose Lee Boron Evans. He was preceded in death on Oct. 20, 1996 by his wife, F. Charlene Finley Evans whom he married on Dec. 26, 1965.

He was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and attended the Ohio University in Athens and served in the United States Army.

He was a member of the Galion Elks Lodge 1191 and the Galion V.F.W. Post 4329. Dave was an avid Ford man and enjoyed golfing, fishing and politics. He owned and operated an industrial supply company since the 1980’s and it was last called B & B Products in Galion.

He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, David “Troy” and Denise Evans of Galion, Tony Evans of Galion and Sterling “Stu” Evans of Galion; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Ron Balliett of Galion, Karen and David Ahlberg of DeBary, Fla., Kay and Robert Perry of Norwalk and Kandy and Paul Conkel of Mt. Gilead; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, Craig Ruhl and one brother, Don Evans.

Friends may call from 10 to 12 noon, Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 12 noon Friday, Nov. 15, with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Full military honors will be held at graveside by the United States Army and the Galion/Crestline Veterans Military Funeral Detail.
