  • Very sorry to hear about David. It had been years since I heard from him, when out of the blue he called me last spring about acquiring an EEDA hat and shirt. He had told me about health problems, and the fight he had ahead of him. His death definitely brings tears to my eyes.
It is so much sadder when one of the younger people who have passed thru my life passes on, especially the “good” ones. Time is, Time was. Time will never be again. Good bye to the Big Bopper. I’m sure you’ll be missed by many and touched more lives than you even knew.

  • Dave was a killer guitar player and while he could be a little rough around the edges he was a kind hearted man, and always willing to help another in need or share in a laugh. I’ll miss talking guitars and music with him, and busting each others chops in the workshop. He’s off to play with his heros in the great gig in the sky. Rip a tasty solo for me up there buddy.

  • Jodi and family. I never had the pleasure of meeting Dave, but we spoke on the phone at length. I am deeply saddened at his passing. I am very sorry for your loss. I wish you comfort and solace from the Bopp clan in Texas. We are all family and we mourn with you.
