David B. Torski

MANSFIELD~ David B. Torski, age 51, of Mansfield passed away Thursday evening July 23, 2009.
Born January 3, 1958 in Mansfield, the fourth of seven children born to John Phillip and Mary Ann (Marshall) Torski, Dave was graduated from Lexington High School in 1976. He went on to the University of Cincinnati, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering.
He applied his love of space and astronomy, with his formal education, and worked as an engineer with Rockwell Industries. Dave later worked as a consultant with the former CADCam Engineering, and more recently was self-employed.
A skilled carpenter, Dave enjoyed historical and genealogical research, pouring hours of his time into the Mansfield Museum, in the former Soldiers and Sailors building.
He is survived by his mother Mary Ann Torski of Mansfield; brothers, sisters and their spouses Dr. J. Stephen & Evelyn Torski of Ashland, Gregory A. & Stephanie Torski of Hingham, Mass., Robert M. Torski of Cleveland, James B. & Sharon Torski of Dublin, Julie Ann & Douglas Litt of Mansfield, and Diane L. & Nelson Flinders of Columbus; and eleven nieces and nephews.
The Torski family will receive friends Sunday, July 26, 2009 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. Interment will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
The family strongly prefers memorial contributions to the Mansfield-Richland County Public Library may be made at the funeral home.
