David A. Hazelett

David A. Hazelett, 57, of Loudonville died peacefully Thursday morning, October 10, 2019, in UH Parma General Hospital surrounded by his family following a very brief illness.

David was born March 18, 1962, in Loudonville and was a 1980 graduate of Loudonville High School.  He had worked as a machine operator for 18 years at Packaging Corporation of America, Ashland and had previously worked at Merrilat Industries, Loudonville, RubberMaid and Carrystarr of Wooster.

David was an active member of New Hope Community Church, Loudonville and the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 257.  He loved dirt-track racing and was a member of the George Lee Pit Crew for many years.   David was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, loved building campfires, popping corn every night, and was always known to “never be able to sit still and was always on the go”.

David is survived by his mother, Lois M. Hazelett of Perrysville; his fiancé, Tiffany Wilson and her two sons: Rowan and Dakota Wilson, whom he considered his sons; two sisters:  Donna (Donny) Pamer and Karen Jarvis, both of Ashland; his brother: Bobby Hazelett of Perrysville; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Service Celebrating the Life of David Hazelett will be held Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at 1:00 PM in New Hope Community Church, Loudonville with Pastor Rob Paterson officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 10 AM-1 PM on Saturday prior to the service.  Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery at a later date.
