Darlene D. “Unrue” Annable, age 84, of Delaware, surrounded by her loving family, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013 where she is walking beside Him on the street of gold.

She was born on April 24, 1928 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Paul and Hazel (Blair) Groshans.

Darlene was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Sunbury. She enjoyed traveling, especially during the fall season to observe the beautiful colors, and spending time at her favorite spot at the marina watching the boats go by. Darlene loved the outdoors and spent many family vacations camping where she could always be seen cooking or frying fish over the open fire. Darlene also spent time crocheting, often giving her afghans as gifts.

She is survived by her daughters, Denise (John) Maraldo and Sandra Cole, both of Delaware; sister, Juanita (Paul) Williams of New Carlisle, Indiana; step children, Bob West; Blain Annable; Dwight Annable and Sandra (George) McClurken, all of Indiana; grandchildren, Rebecca Shepherd and Christina Wilson, both of Knox, Indiana and Michael Cole of Montana; great grandchildren, Nina, Hannah, Korbin, Stephanie and Ericka.

In addition to her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by first husband, Paul Unrue; second husband, Benjamin Annable, son, Ronald Unrue.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Gospel Light Baptist Church, 35 S. Galena Road, Sunbury, Ohio where a funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm with Pastor Chris Tullos presiding. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 4, 2013 in New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle, Indiana.
