S. Danny Walker, age 62, of Baldwin Drive, Howard, Ohio, died on Wednesday October 3, 2007 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on January 15, 1945 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Stanton Walker and Fontella (Dailey) Walker-Dunlap. Danny owned and operated Walkers Disposal Company since 1973 and had also worked at Chattanooga Glass Company in Mount Vernon. Danny was an avid Harley-Davidson fan and could be found quite often taking an afternoon ride.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Freda (Gregory) Walker, four daughters, Amy (Casey) Jones, Melanie (Doug) Shannon, Cindy (Dan) Hayes, Deborah (Mike) Canterbury, three sons, Rick Carper, Tim (Debi) Carper, Rod Carper, thirteen grandchildren, Kelsey Jones, Korey Jones, Steven Shannon, Breanna Jordan, Brydon Hayes, Branson Carper, Trevyn Carper, Brian Calhoon, Levi Lape, Miranda Conkle, Michael Canterbury, Sonya Carper, Baleigh Carper, three great grandchildren, Damien Carper, Dakota Carper and Latesha Carper and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Louise Walker Brown.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 7 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home where a funeral service will be on Monday at 11 AM with Pastor Bill Fennell officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery in Gambier.
