Charlotte Bradford, age 74, of Marengo, Ohio, died peacefully on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.

Retired Manager for Duke and Duchess Stores with more than 30 years of service.  She was an active member of the Centerburg Free Will Baptist Church.

Born June 5, 1947 in Gilbert, West Virginia to the late Ray and Elizabeth (Sammons) Thompson.  Charlotte graduated from Gilbert High School at the age of 16.  She loved her family and spending time with them.  She also enjoyed line-dancing, volleyball, traveling with friends and vacations to Pigeon Forge, TN.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by loving husband, Dennis L. Bradford, grandson, Justin Ray Bradford and sister Burnell Thompson.

She is survived by devoted sons and daughters-in-law, Arlin and Ann Bradford of Howard, OH, Jeff and Michelle Bradford of Chesterville, OH; 6 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory with immediate family is her sister, Marsha (Johnny) Mounts; and brothers, Jackie (Truby) Thompson and Jerry (Phillis) Thompson all of West Virginia; her extended church family and many friends and loved ones.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Centerburg Free Will Baptist Church, 360 N. Clayton Street, Centerburg, where Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday.  Pastor Mark Tuggle officiating.  Interment will follow at Marengo Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County Ohio in Charlotte’s memory.
