Carrie Williamson, 81, of Ashland Kentucky, and formerly of Bellville, died Wednesday morning, September 8, 2004, in Kingsbrook Life Care Center, Ashland, Kentucky, following a long illness.
She was born September 29, 1922 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Dennis and Laura Bessie Picklesimer.
Carrie devoted her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She loved politics and keeping up with current elections, especially keeping her eye on the race for the White House.
Carrie is survived by her children and their spouses Ruby Vance of Ashland, Kentucky, Bonnie and Bobby Jones of Peoria, Illinois, Joyce Ann Burke of Louisa, Kentucky, James Cole of Mansfield, John and Jan Cole of Riverside, California, and Ray and Cassie Cole of Mansfield; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law Lenoria and Duane Kunkle of Bellville, and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Willie Cole, her second husband Andrew Williamson; a son Amos L. “Shorty” Dickerson, and a brother John Picklesimer.
The family will receive friends Friday, September 10, 2004, one hour prior to the 1 pm funeral service in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home. The Rev. Keith McLaughlin will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery.
