Carl C. Armstrong, age 77, of Millersburg Rd. Utica, died at his home Saturday October 25, 2003. He was born in Fairmont, W. Va., December 29, 1924, the son of the late Charles C. and Pearl L. (Bondy) Armstrong and had been an Knox County resident for more than 50 years. He was a WW II U.S. Army veteran and a retired employee of the Continental Can Corp. in Mount Vernon where he had been employed for 33 years.

Mr. Armstrong is survived by his wife of 55 years Marjorie (Hinton) Armstrong, daughter Beverly (Paul) Frazee of Utica, 2 sons Larry (Becky) Armstrong of Delaware and Lynn Armstrong of Marion; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; 4 sisters Virginia Morehouse of Utica, Kathryn (Junior) Hinton of Mount Vernon, Opal (Lawrence) Hildreth of West Virginia and Linda (Eddie) Roshong of Sunbury and 3 brothers Clyde (Bonnie) Armstrong of Howard, LeRoy Armstrong of Florida and Damon Armstrong of Delaware. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Gary Armstrong, a daughter Joyce Bower and a sister Alice Wright.

The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home assisted with arrangements and Mr. Armstrong’s family will observe private burial services at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.
