MANSFIELD: Blanche Victoria Jordan, 91, of Haywood Drive, Mansfield, died Thursday evening September 19, 2002 in her home following a long illness.

She was born August 31, 1911 in Gas City, Indiana to William J. and Susanna (Evans) Thomas, moved to Mansfield at an early age and was graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1929.

On November 19, 1929 she married Earl D. Jordan, Sr. and worked at Westinghouse, The Mansfield Tire and The North American Knitting Mill..

A homemaker, Mrs. Jordan was a member of Ontario Free Methodist Church, enjoyed gardening and lavishing time on her family.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years Earl D. Jordan, Sr.; two daughters Norma Jean Douville of Mansfield and Dorothy Ann and Joe Algire of Sebring, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Margaret Jordan of Ontario and Earl, Jr. and Nancie Jordan of Mansfield; twelve grandchildren Greg Douville, Cindy Kriner, Steve Douville, Susie Fanello, Tim Douville, Michael Chuhaloff, Scott Chuhaloff, Mark Chuhaloff, Steve Chuhaloff, Rick Jordan, Diane Gerhart and Theresa Cruse; 24 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, six brothers and sisters are deceased.

Friends may call Sunday September 22, 2002 from 5-7 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home, where the funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am. Pastor Robert Yanok will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the North Central Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association may be made at the funeral home.
