March 06, 1929 ‒ March 19, 2005

Delaware, Ohio

Beverly Jeanne White Conniff, age 76, of Delaware was glorified on March 19, 2005 at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on March 6, 1929, the beloved daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth (McClelland) and Judge Fredrick Robert White. Beverly was an active swimmer, cheerleader, and Macey’s model when she met her future husband, Bill Conniff a Navy ensign. Her life was an adventure as a Navy wife, traveling and living across this great country, as her husband served the Navy as a fighter pilot. She was the quintessential homemaker and helpmate as she took on the role of primary caregiver and nurturing mother to her family. Later she would become a regional cosmetics representative and also actively helped manage the family standardbred horse business. After the death of her husband in his 70th year, she stepped out again to undergo a new project, DPS Antiques. On a handshake she purchased 17 – 19 North Sandusky Street, an 1854 three story building and with the help of her family and friends converted the “US Store” into the successful DPS Antique shop in downtown Delaware. In essence, Beverly Jeanne White Conniff was truly a Proverbs 31 woman.

She is an honored mother to her Sons: William E. “Trey” (Linda) Conniff III, of Granbury, Texas, and Commander Fredrick Robert “Judge” (Janet) Conniff of Juneau, Alaska, and Daughters: Kelley Sue (Michael) Wenkle of Delaware, and Melissa Elaine (Bruce) Houchard of Columbus. She was a revered grandmother to her Grandchildren: William E. “Tiger” (Nikki) Conniff IV, Dustin Landrew (Karen) Conniff, Andrew Eugene (Hillary) Rayo, Paul Christopher Rayo, Nathaniel Phillip Bemus, Fredrick Robert (Candi) Conniff Jr., Meagan Marie Conniff, and Daniel Scott Conniff. She was the also the revered Great-Grand Matriarch to her Great-Grandchildren: Tiger Cain Conniff, Saylor Rain Conniff, Adia Isabelle Conniff, and Gracyn Maeve Conniff. Mee Maw as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren is also survived by her Sister: Joan (Bill) Brady of Gladstone, Missouri, and her Sister-in-law: Bonnie White of Weston, Missouri.

She was the cherished wife of her husband, William E. “Bill” Conniff Jr., whom she married on September 18, 1948, he preceded her in death on August 15, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her brother: Fredrick Robert White.
