MANSFIELD: Betty Floyd passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 in Arbors of Mifflin. She was 74.

She was born January 18, 1944 to parents Delbert & Lula (Thompson) Adams in Circleville. Betty graduated from Logan Elm High School.

In younger years Betty was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. More recently, she enjoyed being grandma. She loved going to any events with her grandchildren from fairs to basketball games. She was a good cook and the family will miss her peanut butter fudge. Above all she cherished time with her family, especially around the holidays,

She is survived by daughter Carla (Scott) Armstrong; grandchildren Mason (Julia) Armstrong, Alec Armstrong, Sam Armstrong, Tyson Armstrong and Josh Logan; son-in-law Bert Logan; sisters Bonita Chaffin, Phyllis Tatman and Linda (Ed) Moore; close companion of 28 years Arvin Stewart.

In addition to her husband Francis “Jack” Floyd, she was preceded in death by her parents and children Gene Floyd and Beth Logan; brother Jack Adams; sister Ruth Callihan.

The Floyd family will receive friends Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where calling will continue Friday beginning at 10 a.m. and will continue until the beginning of the service at 11 a.m. Pastor Kyle Thompson will speak. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.

Contributions in Betty’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association may be made at the funeral home.
