She was born on December 28, 1928 in Cass Lake, MN daughter of the late Ben and Dorothy (Stitt) Kruger. She was married in 1948 to Hilbert Hahn and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1969.

Growing up, she worked on the family dairy farm. She resided in Columbus, Ohio in 1971. Betty worked as a cook for Duff’s Smorgasbord and MCL cafeteria before retiring.

A fan of all sports, she enjoyed talking about sports in general. She enjoyed bingo, going to the casinos and playing all types of card games. Widowed at an early age, she raised her children and several grandchildren by herself; needless to say she was proud of her family and their accomplishments.

She is survived by seven children Leo (Cheryl) Hahn of Grand Rapids, MN, George (Carmen) Hahn of Tico, WI, Brenda Hahn of Delaware, Debra (Richard) Flipiack of Grand Rapid, MN, Janet (Jim) Hoffman of Englewood, FL, Sandra Hatfield (Frank) of Sunbury, Ohio, Kelly (Angie) Hahn of Zionsville, IN, twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-one plus great-grandchildren, and seven plus great-great-grandchildren, and a sister Violet Burt of Grand Rapids, MN, as well as nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hilbert Hahn, son Raymond Hahn, daughter Barbara Hahn, son-in-law Frank Hatfield, and granddaughter Tara Hutto.
