Bernice Thelma “Naw” Wilson, age 81, of Lorain, Ohio, and formerly of Frametown, West Virginia, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2015, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.

On June 9, 1933, Bernice was born in Frametown, West Virginia, one of nineteen children of the late Charles and Lottie (Smarr) Frame.

Bernice left school early to marry George Wilson, on August 23, 1951. They shared over fifty eight wonderful years of marriage and raised three children together. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2009.

For 35 years, Bernice worked as a burn unit and Hospice STNA at Lorain Community Hospital.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children: George (Sharon) Wilson Jr. of Lorain, OH, Patricia (George) Clevenger of Cottageville, WV, and Connie (Lynn) Scarbrough of Fredericktown, OH; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman Frame; two sisters: Pearl Mace and Judy Slaughter; and hundreds of nieces and nephews.

Including her husband and parents, Bernice was preceded in death by ten brothers: Wesley, Garret, Charles, Everett, Forest, Gerald, Harlen, Newton, Kyle and Frank Frame; and five sisters: Gladys Williams, Veda Conner, Juanita Burrows, Ann Underwood, and Ivy White.

Services honoring her life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at the Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Skeen of the Ravenswood Free Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Stumbo Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Chester Baptist Church or Make a Wish Foundation.
