Mount Gilead, Ohio

Beatrice E. “Bea” Lindsay, age 71, of State Route 61, Mount Gilead, went to be with the Lord on Monday morning, February 19, 2007, at the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing in Dublin.

She was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, on February 8, 1936, the daughter of the late Leslie and Sue Teasdale. Bea graduated from Brownsville High School in the Class of 1953.

On July 26, 1966, Bea married her loving husband of over 38 years, Dick Lindsay, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2005.

For 18 years, Bea worked at the Maple Run Veterinary Clinic as an office manager until she retired in 1998.

Bea had a passion for researching her family genealogy, cooking and baking for others, crocheting, making crafts, and playing bingo. She was a past member of the Central Ohio Siberian Husky Club, and Morrow County Kennel Club. In her spare time, Bea made and donated blankets for local charity organizations.

To know Bea was a special experience. Her family and friends will miss her blend of wit, laughter and unfiltered honesty.

She will be missed by her three daughters: Debi (Don) Seamons Wood of Delaware, Ohio, Leslie (John) Seamons Caudill of Drift, Kentucky, and Rachel (Greg) Lindsay Turk of Dublin, Ohio; one brother: Leslie Teasdale of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She had a very close relationship with her granddaughters, Olivia and Bella Turk of Dublin.

Pastor Jim Rupp will conduct graveside services in Union Cemetery on U.S. Route 42 S., Mount Gilead, on Friday, February 23, 2007, at 11:30 a.m. Per Bea’s wishes calling hours will not be observed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bea Lindsay Memorial Fund in care of Snyder Funeral Homes, 76 South Main Street, Mount Gilead, Ohio 43338. Proceeds of the Memorial Fund will be donated to the Children’s Hospital Foundation for cancer research and patient care.
