Barbara Jean Zoker, 55, of Plain City, Ohio died on May 30, 2009 at her residence.
She was born on July 30, 1953 in Marion the daughter of the late Frederick W. and Dorothy E. (Bear) Isett.
Barbara was a graduate of Pleasant High School in the class of 1971.
On April 2, 1983 she married Gregory Zoker in Las Vegas. After 25 years of marriage he passed away on December 14, 2008.
She worked at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus as a team leader in patient accounts.
Barb loved to collect butterflies and go to flea markets and craft shows with her sister-in-law Cheryl where she would use her skills as a bargain hunter to find jewelry and knick knacks.
If you visited Barb’s home the first thing you noticed was how immaculately kept her house was; everything had its place!
She was very strong minded, upbeat and optimistic and it showed in her beautiful smile and contagious laughter.
She will be missed by her daughter Jennifer (Adam Lambert) Madden of Springfield; step daughters Jennifer (Sarah, Olivia, JoHanna Spicer) Zoker of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Janelle Zoker of Columbus; and her five grandchildren who she dearly loved, Celia Hughes, Johnathan, Brandon, Alexandria, and Zachary Madden.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother Steve Isett and a grandson Kristopher Madden
Friends may call on the family on Wednesday June 3, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center Street, Marion. Pastor Gary Miller will conduct funeral services there on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Grand Prairie Cemetery in Brush Ridge.
