Marion, Ohio

Anthony Joseph “Tony” Cafarchio Jr., age 27, of Marion, died at his home Thursday, December 24, 2015.  Tony was born June 9, 1988 in Dayton, Ohio to Anthony J. Sr. and Jenny (Neff) Cafarchio. Tony was a loving, patient and generous guy whose bright personality will be missed by many.  From simple acts of holding a hand to caring for his grandmother, he loved taking care of others in their time of need. Tony was an avid shopper buying gifts for others and enjoyed listening to music of all genres, especially Lady Gaga.  Tony volunteered his time giving back to the community by working for Habitat for Humanity and dreamed of joining Nurses without Borders.

Tony will be deeply missed by parents Tony Sr. and Jenny Cafarchio of Hahira, GA, brother, Jim (Emily) Cafarchio of Lakeland, Fl and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home Tuesday, December 29, 2015 from 4 until 8 PM.  A funeral service celebrating Tony’s life will be held 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Celebration Christian Church with Pastor Trevor Littleton officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tony’s honor to Marion Technical College Endowment Fund to help future nursing students.

  • To Tony’s family,
    My heart goes out to you. I was one of many in Tony’s nursing class that was touched by his humor, caring nature, and bright mind. I attended many study groups that were made entertaining and productive by this sweet young soul.

  • Mr. Tony and Mrs. Jenny I have missed you guys terribly since you moved on from Harbor. When I heard of Tony’s passing I was filled with sadness and regret for not keeping in touch with you all. I send my deepest condolences to you both, Jim (Emily) and the rest of your family. My heart is filled with sorrow and I’m sorry he was taken so soon. Although, he wasn’t able to go on to work with Nurses Without Borders, as I remember that always being his dream, I hope to maybe one day be able to fulfill that dream in his honor. God bless you.

  • So very sorry for your loss of such an amazing guy he was honestly one of the best nurses i have worked for and he cared so much i know this has to be vary had for his grandmother especially he allways talked about her and loved her dearly my heart goes out to all his family during this very difficult time he will be missed by many

  • Tony was such a sweet, soft-spoken guy. He graduated ahead of me, but we shared a couple classes together and I always enjoyed his company. I am really so sad to hear of his passing. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Tony was one of my first friends growing up and I’ve always counted him among my closest. His loss is so painful because I know that he had so much more love to share with the world. I’m truly blessed to have spent my life growing up by his side and take comfort in knowing that he knew how loved he was.

  • In a career “”fiiled ” with Infection, Tony… Your smile was always “Infectuous.””.
    ~~~Not to mention your Spiritual side for human compassion, yes… One wuld expect to find these qualities in a “Female bedside Nurse”… but not so with Tony. He had a bedside manner that included not only quick knowledge and skill, but a Wholistic approach for Humanity , and although your career was short lived my friend, you had an amazing gift from God that touched not just the patients but the co-workers as well., and that gift was a gentle hand, a warm heart ~ and that smile.. ~~~~ Now may you be used once again as the Lord puts you to work above, guiding and leading the way for others ~~as you continue to “”SHINE””.
  • My deepest sympathy to your entire family. Thinking if you at the time and hoping you find peace and comfort with one another and your friends. Although I did not know Tony personally I did know many of you from NY and college and follow your stories. Love is what holds you together.
  • Anthony, Jenny and family,
    I cannot begin to know the pain you must feeling, and my heart goes out to you. I have been praying every night for God to give you the strength to get through this most difficult time, and I know you will. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
    Love to you all,
    Anita and John Sullivan
  • Tony and Jenny,
    We are so sorry for the untimely loss of your son, you all have the prayers of the King Family and we will keep you all in prayer that peace of God that surpasses all understanding will comfort you in this very difficult time.
  • Dear Tony and Jenny,
    I know what it feels like to lose a child, and in your numbness, it will be hard to comprehend how many peoples lives Tony, Jr. touched. We know he is with The Lord, and Gods timing is always perfect, but it does little to help through this most difficult of times. We love all of you, and just pray that you will feel Gods arms around you. You are in our thoughts and prayers of Harbor Baptist.
  • Tony and Jenny,
    May the comfort of the Holy Spirit and the strength of our Lord be your portion to the fullest measure during this time. It would be foolish for us to say that we understand what you and Jenny are going through. However, we join with you in the celebration of his life; both as he lived it on the earth, and now as he lives it in Heaven.
  • Dear Tony and Jenny and Family,
    Please know that you are all in our thoughts and payers. As the newest members of our MBC church family in Valdosta, GA, you have so many “new” family members who are praying for you and asking the Lord to allow each one of them to help you bear this great burden during this time of grief and sadness. The Lord make s no mistakes and we pray for His perfect will and purpose to be accomplished in the difficult days ahead. The miles cannot separate the heavenly bond we we now share and we await your return so we can give you our love and support in a more personal way. Be strong my brothers and sisters for GOD IS GOOD and He loves us more than we can comprehend. God Bless you all and may He draw near and comfort you in your time of loss.
  • Jenny and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I can not imagine your pain. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
  • Tony, Jenny, Jim, and Emily,
    We just wanted to let you know that we are praying for you during this difficult time. Tony Jr. was a very talented, meek, and kind young man. Tony was a pleasure to have in our youth group while at Harbor Baptist. As has been stated by others, we will greatly miss him but we look forward to our heavenly reunion.
    Please know that we are praying for you. May the grace of Jesus Christ be with you at this time and may that grace provide you with comfort and strength.
    We love you,
    Chris and Becky
  • Jenny & Family-
    I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son and loved one. He was chosen to be in a better place and there is a better plan for him. He will be closer to you now than ever, until you meet again…
  • Tony and Jenny, I am truly sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine the pain you both are going through. There are no words that can help with your pain. Just remember that he is safe now in the arms of our father. My prayers are being sent your way. Miss you both !
  • My deepest sympathies. I am very sorry for the loss of Anthony. Revelation 21:4 tells us of God: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
  • Dear Tony and Jenny,
    Our family sends our deepest sympathy to your family. You just joined Morningside Baptist Church and blessed us with the beautiful song you wrote for Tony Jr. it saddens us to think of the loss you are dealing with. We were able to spend time with you last week at a Christmas party and consider it a honor to have you a part of our church family.
    We will continue to pray for you and your extending family. Please know God is in control and he will comfort you in the days ahead and HE will sustain you during this time.
    We will be here for you when you return back to Georgia and we will minister to you in any way we can.
    In Christian love,
    We send our love and prayers to you at this time. Although we haven’t seen Tony or you all in many years, we have such fond memories of him and your family interacting with our children. Tony was such a sweet, talented guy. I remember how well he could play that piano and how patient he was with the younger children. God bless you all as you deal with his loss.
  • Jenny and Tony,
    I have no words. I have been in at a loss ever since I heard. I pray God will continue to send his holy spirit to comfort you at this time, we all know Tony Jr is in a place of no paun or sorry so it is the family left behind that still grieves. If he was just a touch of who you were Jenny I can only imagine the man he was. You talked about your sons with glitter in your eyes. You were and are so proud of them. Obviously Tony was just that amazing that God called him home.
    Be Blessed Cafarchios.
    I miss you dearly Jenny
    love,
    Jessica
