Adeline C. Hopkins, 91, of Delaware passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning, November 28, 2018 at the Forum of Knightsbridge in Columbus.

She was born February 8, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John and Helen (Piechowski) Tkacz.

A homemaker, Adeline was a devoted and faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Delaware. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling with her husband. Adeline had a deep love for her family, especially her grandsons. She always had a warm smile and she was quick witted and feisty to the end. She also took great joy in giving to others.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Karen (David) Setterlin; grandsons, Marcus, Ryan and Trevor (Catherine) Setterlin; sister, Rita Husak; numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Adeline was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Peter D. Hopkins, her brother Ralph Tkacz and her sister Dorothy Jagel.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 E. William Street, Delaware with Rev. Fr. Michael Watson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow the mass in St. Mary Cemetery.

    I was saddened to learn of your mother’s passing, and wanted to extend my sympathies and condolences. Although I never had the pleasure and honor of meeting your mother, I know that I would have very much enjoyed her stories, her wit, and her warm smile. I do share your sorrow during this difficult time. I wish there was something I could say or do to comfort you, David, Marcus, Ryan, Trevor, and Catherine.
