Aaron R. Eakin

Aaron R. Eakin, age 63, of Delaware, died Wednesday March 1, 2006, at his residence.
A 1961 graduate of St. Joe’s High School, in Fremont, Ohio. A member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Delaware Eagles and a lifetime member of AMVETS. Aaron was retired from the Delaware Bank and from the State of Ohio where he was a supply manager for the Ohio prison system. After his retirement he had a passion for photography. You could find him at the zoo taking pictures of his favorite animals. He loved and collected wolves and Native–American artifacts, of which he had a vast collection of both. He enjoyed working with a variety of woods, making various items, giving them as gifts to family and friends, “it just depends on what looks the best” is what he would always say.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Linda K. (Palmer) Eakin, whom he married April 20, 1968, in Fremont; mother, Evelyn Eakin; brothers, Lee, Joe (Wendy), and Jerry (Robbyn) Eakin; sister, Janet (Michael) Michaelski; many nieces, nephews and also his children with fur Sadie, Apache, Sophie and Andy. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sheila L. Eakin; father Robert Eakin; brothers Terry and Howard Eakin.
Friends may call Sunday 2-5 p.m. at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home 75 W. William Street, Delaware, where the funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday with Father Kevin Kavanaugh and Reverend Laynette Decker officiating. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
