Yolanda D. Curry

August 27, 1956 ‒ October 19, 2019

Howard, Ohio

Yolanda D. Curry, age 63, of Howard passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, October 19, 2019.

She was born on August 27, 1956 in Mount Vernon to the late Roy and Avinell (Jenkins) Snyder.  Yolanda enjoyed reading, nature, the sunshine, politics, and feeding the stray cats and kittens around her home.  But most of all, she loved the time she spent with her family and friends.

Yolanda is survived by her daughter, Heather (Tyler) Opel; her son Eric (Andi) Curry; four grandchildren, Eli Opel, Ava Opel, Quinn Curry, Morgan Curry; her sisters, Janie (Sonny) Burson, Connie (Jim) Warner, Sharon Harwell; her brothers, Gary (Tuni) Snyder, Ron (Shirlee) Snyder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Yolanda was preceded in death by her sisters, Penny Snyder and Kathy Campbell.

In keeping with Yolanda’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.  The family will observe a private gathering at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made, in Yolanda’s name, to Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
