Wyatt E. West, age 21 of Ashley, OH, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020, at his residence. He was born June 4, 1998 in Westerville, OH to Glenn and Jeorganna (Thompson) West III.

As a boy, Wyatt spent most of his time playing baseball. He loved riding and ramping his bike with his friends. He was in Boy Scouts as a child, then during his high school years, was an active member of the Highland ROTC program.

Wyatt was a was a talented construction worker by trade, having worked for various roofing, and garage door companies. He enjoyed tinkering and rebuilding tractors, lawnmowers, cars; anything with a motor. He especially loved lawnmowers, sometimes taking them for a spin with friends in a wagon on Ohio’s rural roadways. He enjoyed spending his summer days working with his dad. Wyatt collected baseball caps, signs, and a lot of mechanical “junk”. He was a good and loyal friend. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, and especially loved tormenting his niece and nephews. He enjoyed spending Friday nights going to dinner with his brother, girlfriend, and grandfather. He also loved spending time with his girlfriend, Jasmine Fisher.

Left to cherish Wyatt’s memory are his parents; Glenn and Jeorganna West III; brothers: Glenn West IV, and Cameron West; sisters: Chelsea West, Hallie (Nick) Beal, and Autumn West (Evan (Wilkoski); paternal grandparents: Glenn West Jr., and Deborah (Irey) Walker; maternal grandmother, Kathy Huffman (David Swint); great-grandmother, Elizabeth Clay; girlfriend: Jasmine Fisher; aunts: Jessica (George) Carter, and Mae (Joseph) Hughes; niece and nephews: Dawson, Gannon, and Harper; cousins: Samantha, Domonick, Aralynn, Quentin, Darian, and Ashton.

Wyatt was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ed Huffman, and great-grandparents, Joan And Jessie James, and Kenny Huffman.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 13, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 N. SR 61, Sunbury, OH. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Jeff Deel officiating. Burial will follow directly after at the Marengo Cemetery. Guests are welcome to gather with the family afterward at the Marengo American Legion Hall for food and refreshments.
