Woneta J. Cheuvront, age 74, of 25195 Jelloway Road, Danville, died Friday January 4, 2002 at her residence. Woneta was born March 18, 1927 in Jelloway to T.W. Dunn and Zella (Goon) Dunn and had spent her lifetime in the Jelloway area.

She was a member of the Greer Wesleyan Church and had been an active member of the Home League at the Mount Vernon Salvation Army. Woneta had also been and active participant at Camp Sychar in Mount Vernon and Victory Camp near Westerville.

Surviving are two daughters June (Carter) Looney of Fredericktown and Diane (George Thompson) Saunders of Mount Vernon; two sons James Cheuvront of Circleville and David (Regina) Cheuvront of Danville; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; two brothers Harry (Barbara) Dunn of Danville and Rev. Earl (Ruth) Dunn of Cincinnati; and three sisters Lois (Dwight) Daniels of Danville, Ruth Sleeman and Faye Nordyke both of Mount Vernon. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dempsie Cheuvront, a granddaughter and an infant sister.

Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home in Mount Vernon where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 PM. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Danville.
