Wilma M. Carson

September 03, 1929 ‒ March 15, 2015

Wilma M. Carson, age 85 of Centerburg passed away at home Sunday surrounded by those whom she loved.

Born September 3, 1929 in Lockbourne, she was a daughter of the late Roscoe R. and Hazel G. (Detty) Lindsey.

While roller skating at Roller Land in Columbus, she caught the eye of Robert Carson, so much so that he expressed that someday she would be his wife.  They would marry on August 13, 1949. Together they shared over 65 blessed years, caring for each other’s needs, making a loving home, and raising their family.

In addition to raising a wonderful family she worked at Woolworth’s as a fountain manager and later with Clark Graphics in Columbus.

A member of Genoa Baptist Church, she enjoyed gardening, ceramics, and crocheting. Kind, generous and loving, she was a collector of owls and dolls. Her family described her best…. beautiful inside and out. Happiest at home Wilma treasured spending time with her beloved family, of whom she was most proud. Always there to lend a helping hand, she will long be remembered for her loving ways.

  • Memories are a treasure,
    Time cannot take away
    So may you be surrounded
    By happy ones today
