Wilma Eileen Maglott Pritchard, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 1, 2019 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was born on January 30, 1929 in Richland County the daughter of Walter and Edith (Rider) Maglott.

Wilma was a 1947 graduate of Lexington High School and worked for the Richland County Recorder for three years and then worked at Ideal Electric Company for over thirty years, as secretary to three presidents.  She had been employed part time in the Fredericktown School system as a cafeteria worker in recent years.

Wilma belonged to the Fredericktown United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school, served as past president of the Women’s Society and Joy Circle, and belonged to the Tru-Lo-So Sunday school class and sang in the choir.  Wilma was a member of Ann Hill Chapter #81 Order of Eastern Star having served six times as Worthy Matron and held many other offices in the organization. She also served as the Grand Representative for the Order of Eastern Star and was the treasurer and secretary for District #12.  She loved to serve her community and church and did so in many ways by serving dinner and helping wherever needed.

Wilma also belonged to the Fredericktown Garden Club and served as president for two years.  She loved working in her yard with the flowers.  She also belonged to the Widows Euchre Club and Fredericktown Euchre Club.  Above all else Wilma loved spending time with her family and babysitting her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters; Janet (Dan) Burden, Jackie (Don) Strong, Jill (Gary) Pelc all of Fredericktown and Joan (Mark) Moysi of Mansfield; ten grandchildren, Matt (Debra) Burden, Christine (Matt) Wiseman, Tracey (Trev) Ruhl, Jeffrey (Jessica) Strong, Chelsea (Andrew) Kissel, Renee Pelc, Kyle (Olivia) Pelc, Dustin (Megan) Moysi, Zachary (Kasey) Moysi, Ashley (Zach) Roth; twenty two great grandchildren; Cody Burden, Carson Burden, Shelbie Wiseman, Lindsey Wiseman, Morgan Wiseman, Tyler Ruhl, Tanner Ruhl, Teegan Ruhl, Abby Strong, Alexis Strong, Allie Moysi, Camden Moysi, Dane Moysi, Connor Moysi, Brookson Burson, Bri Hardesty, Theodore Roth, Harrison Kissel, Bennett Kissel, Mallory Kissel, Aleena Kissel and Miles Pelc.

She is also survived by a brother W. Edwin (Carolyn) Maglott; two sisters, Pat Finley and Vi (Kenneth) Haverfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband H. Nelson Pritchard; two brothers, Charles Maglott and Dwight Maglott and a sister, Donna Smith.

Friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, 123 Columbus Road, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019 where an Eastern Star service will begin at 4 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at the church on Friday starting at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard Hasley officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown, Ohio.

  • I was honored to serve in Ann Hill Chapter #81 OES with Wilma and her late husband Nelson back in the 1980’s. Wilma and Nelson were so forgiving and loving when my family went through such a difficult time back then. They supported us through friendship when so many shunned us. Jim and I were so very very saddened to hear of the accident and the medical report Wilma had receive prior to. We pray for Janet and that she will recover fully from her injuries and for the personal trauma she has had to indure.
