Wilma Dudley

Mount Gilead, Ohio

Wilma Dudley, age 83, of Mount Gilead, passed away at her home Monday evening, August 27, 2018, with her loving family by her side.

On July 4, 1935, Wilma was born in Tazewell, TN, a daughter of the late William E. and Lula Mae (Fultz) Jones.

Wilma married the love of her life, Glen E. Dudley, on November 21, 1952, in Liberty, IN.  They shared 38 years as husband and wife before he preceded her in death on May 19, 1991.

A woman of faith, Wilma was a long time member of the Fargo Wesleyan Church.

Wilma enjoyed quilting, reading, baking and watching birds out her front window, where you could always find her sitting in her chair.  She loved watching her grandchildren grow up and the special time she spent with her great grandson.  She will always be remembered as a very loving, patient and caring woman.

Wilma will be dearly missed by her son, Donald (Jane) Dudley of Mount Gilead; two grandchildren: Roger Dudley of Columbus, Heather (Zack) Robinson of Mount Gilead; her great grandson, Aiden; and a brother, Homer (Dorothy) Jones of Sidney, OH.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by seven sisters and brothers: Leora Hickman, Barb Marlow, Imal Metzler, Carolyn Bellings, Inia Bell, Roger Jones and Donald Wayne Jones.

Wilma’s family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018, at the Fargo Wesleyan Church, 4010 County Road 15, Marengo, OH 43334.  Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held there at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 31, 2018, officiated by family friend Billy Baldwin.  Burial will follow in Fargo Cemetery, next to the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wilma’s family to assist with final expenses.
