LEXINGTON: William Wagner, 83, of Uhrichsville, and formerly of Mohican Trail, Lexington, died Saturday evening November 26, 2005 in Timken Mercy Medical Center, Canton.

He was born December 1, 1921 in Duesseldorf, Germany, to Fredrick W. and Kathrine (Waldmueller) Wagner.

On July 22, 1946 he married Hildegard Gerhard Wagner, his wife of 59 years, who survives.

William moved to Lexington on December 15, 1959 from Elyria, and from Lexington to Uhrichsville in 1999.

He retired in February of 1986 as Production Control Manager with United Technologies, following 17 years of service.

William was a member of First Moravian Church of Uhrichsville and a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, Lexington, and Mansfield Liederkranz.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Hal and Randa Wagner of Crestline and Robert and Jill Wagner of Uhrichsville; four grandchildren Steve and Sharon Wagner of Sylvan Hills, Mary-Jo and Robert Pittenger of Mansfield, Sarah and Lee Ledford and Lauren Wagner all of Uhrichsville; six great grandchildren Stephanie and Robert, Jr., Pittenger, Megan, Matthew and John Wagner and Tori Ledford; and a sister Mary Lou Gorze of Medina.

A brother Walter Wagner preceded him in death.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 2 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home. The Rev. William Surber will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends the hour prior to the funeral service.

Memorial contributions to First Moravian Church of Uhrichsville may be made at the funeral home.
