WILLIAM W. MAGERS, AGE 99, OF BEECH ST., MOUNT VERNON, DIED JULY 17, 2002 AT THE LAURELS OF MOUNT VERNON. HE WAS BORN DECEMBER 31, 1902, IN SCOTS BLUFF, NEBRASKA, THE SON OF THE LATE CALVIN C. AND ETTA F. (CORWIN) MAGERS AND HAD BEEN A MOUNT VERNON RESIDENT MOST OF HIS LIFE. HE SERVED WITH THE NATIONAL GUARD AS A MEDIC AND HAD BEEN EMPLOYED AS AN AUTO BODY REPAIRMAN.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE OF 66 YEARS, MARY JANE (WILSON) MAGERS, 2 GRANDCHILDREN AND SEVERAL GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A SON WILLIAM E. MAGERS, 2 SISTERS AND 3 BROTHERS.

A GRAVESIDE SERVICE WILL BE HELD MONDAY AT 10 AM AT THE OAK GROVE CEMETERY IN GAMBIER. PASTOR JOE BLEVINS WILL OFFFICIATE. THE FLOWERS-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME ASSISTED THE FAMILY WITH FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS.
