William T. “Tommy” Hall

William Thomas “Tommy” Hall 49 of Galion passed away July 4, 2017 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus as result of an automobile accident.

He was born August 19, 1967 in Columbus, Ohio the son of the late Warren & Betty (Hamer) Hall.

Tommy graduated from Buckeye Valley High School in 1987, and later became an entrepreneur starting his own successful scrap metal business.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Warren and Betty Hall who adopted him, uncle Hobert Hatfield, and cousin Tony Hatfield.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved sister Corina (Brent) Borders; half-siblings Sabrina (Bill) Cumston, David, Amy, Bobby, and Adam Hall, and Jme McIlwain; special nephews Brandon, Travis, and Tyler Borders; special cousins Todd Hatfield, Larry, Mark, and Kim Hall; aunts and uncle Sue Hatfield and Phil (Sharon) Hall; and biological parents Tom and Bettina.

Tommy loved being outdoors, fishing, singing, and telling stories. Those close to Tommy will remember him as being wonderful and selfless,always putting others first.

A memorial service celebrating Tommy’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 12, 2017 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cardington, 336 W Main St with Pastor Steve Dennis officiating.

Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Delaware.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed towards St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

  • I have known Tom 40 years. You was always a great friend that will never be forgotten. God takes the best and he wanted you. We all love you fly high till we meet again.

  • Met him in the summer of 1987 he has always been a wonderful person. When I married todd he was always around he helped us out when we needed him and never forgot about family. He stayed with us and all the memories of being a great friend. I will always cherish. As years went by and well life faded you still kept in touch with me. I will always have a place for him cause we where family. Tommy I know you and god connected. Life wasn’t easy and you found your faith. I strongly believe in my heart we will meet again. I don’t weep because you are gone….i weep because I’m still here and not with my lord Jesus Christ where you have found your eternal home. R.I.P. TOMMY HALL. Fly high with all the family and friends that left us past.

  • I’ve only know Tom for 2yrs but he was always nice to me n treated me with respect . he will be missed dearly . rip big Tom

  • Even though we did not see each other very often, but when we did, we picked up where we left off. I will miss your funny jokes and laughter, you never missed a beat. You where the one that welcomed me back to Ohio when I came and helped me get things in order after the big move. I will never forget that kindness you brought to me. Thank you. I will never forget when we were kids growing up on the farm all the adventures we all took around the place, those memories will stay with me forever. May the good Lord forever comfort you along with my mom (Aunt Sandy), Grandma,Grandpa,Tony, Tabitha, Uncle Hobart. You will forever be in my heart.

  • So many memories I could share about Tom. He had a heart twice a big as he was and yet he always called me “big guy.” I had not seen him for many years but I will forever remember the fun and laughter we shared.
    May you rest in the arms of the Lord my friend, I will miss you.
