William S. Yocum

William S. Yocum, 79, of 347 Pine Street, Galion, died Sunday, April 2, 2006 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus after a brief illness.
Born March 6, 1927 in Trevorton, Pa., he was the son of the late William A. Yocum and Lottie M. Adams Yocum. He married Annabelle Bish Yocum on February 9, 1948 and she survives.
He was a long time resident of Galion. He loved his family and his pond. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines and the United States Army. He retired from Komatsu-Dresser, formerly Galion Iron Works, where he was a journeyman tool and die maker.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Susan J. and Roger Willis of Galion; two sons, David W. Yocum and Mary of Excelsior, Minn., Steven R. Yocum and Lisa of Galion; nine grandchildren, Melissa Saunders, Michael “Andy” Yocum, William and Rebecca Willis, Candy Yocum, Nola Yocum, Brett Yocum, Zachary Fuhrer, Chelesa Fuhrer and Will Yocum and three great grandchildren, Kaleb Saunders, Xiola Yocum and Marley Adams.
He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph A. Yocum, three sisters and two brothers.
At Bills request no calling hours will be held. A private memorial service will be held for the family at a later date.
