William “Rex” Miller, age 76 of Lakeview, passed away Thursday October 7, 2021 at the Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center.

Rex was born at home on November 8, 1944 in Big Island, the son of Charles Marion and Irene Frances (Mawer) Miller.

He is survived by siblings: Jerry Miller and Connie (Chuck) Browning; uncle of Kim (Jeff) Lamb, Christine (Bryan) Myers, and Tom (Lori) Miller; also surviving are many great nieces and great nephews.

Rex is preceded in death by his parents; brother Thomas Miller and nephew David Scott Daniel.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Snyder Funeral Homes, Gunder/Hall Chapel, 347 West Center St., Marion from 1PM to 2PM; funeral service will follow at 2PM; burial will be in Meeker Cemetery.

The Miller family extends their most sincere appreciation to the staff of Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center, who was like family, for the exceptionally loving care given to Rex and his brother Jerry over the years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rex’s honor to the Special Olympics Ohio, Inc., 3303 Winchester Pike, Columbus, OH 43232.

  • My deepest sympathies to the family. I admitted Rex and his brother many years ago to our facility and every day since then Rexy had a smile for us. I’m going to miss him playing the harmonica and looking at the pictures he colored . And the way Rexy would laugh when we would dance with him. His family loved him dearly and so did all of his caregivers. Many fond memories we all will carry with us of the joy he brought to us.
