William P. Jones

William P. Jones, of 801 South Street, Galion, has gone to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday February 5, 2005 after a long illness.

Born March 17, 1935 in Tarentum, Penn., he was the son of the late William P. Jones Sr. and Elsie Bollinger Jones who survives in Freeport, Penn. He is survived by his wife, Anita K. McIntyre Jones whom he married on December 18, 1954.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and attended Free Methodist Church, Galion. He was a member of Crestline Arcana Lodge No. 88 Free and Accepted Masons and the Mansfield Commandry. He retired from the Crestline Division of P.P.G. where he was a line operator.

He is survived by his three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise C. and Richard Kuhn and Diane L. and Paul Altstadt of Galion and Laura R. and Vernon Yancey of Chillicothe; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Elsie L. and James Martz and Virginia M. and John Karadeema of Tarentum, Penn. and Beverly A. Snow of Cabot, Penn.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Louis F. and Luella Jones of Tarentum, Penn., George E. Jones of Sarver, Penn., Charles A. and Beverly Jones of Brookville, Penn and a sister-in-law, Carol Jones of Crestline.

He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Donna Kay Jones and Kelly Doreen Jones; an infant son, Lon Dean Jones and a brother Robert L. Jones.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2005 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, at Free Methodist Church, Galion, with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
