William L. Nelson

William L. “Bill” Nelson, 58, of 5903 Spring Valley Court, Galion died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at home after an apparent heart attack.
Born December 24, 1947 in Crestline, he was the son of the late Charles William Nelson and Elsie Case Nelson who survives in Galion.
He attended Ontario Schools and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Galion Moose Lodge 303 and V.F.W. Post 4329, Galion. He was an avid NASCAR fan and he liked to fish. He was currently working for CPI in Crestline, prior to that he worked for Perfection-Cobey, McLain Industry, Urban Industries and Carlisle Plastic.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Steve Vance of Galion and a son and daughter-in-law, William and Andrea Nelson of Crestline; five grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Jim Parks of Galion and Bonnie and James Spurck of Galion, and his best friend and former wife Vicky Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter, Eva Lantz, a brother, Jerry Nelson and a grandson.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2006 at Richardson-Davis Funeral Home where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, with Rev. Loyd Caudill officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
