William L. “Bill” Webber

William L. “Bill” Webber, age 66 a Sunbury resident for 26 years.

Born Nov. 6, 1937 in Columbus. Preceded in death by father Joseph Webber, mother Mildred (Fouse) Webber, and sister Dorothy Hocter.

Bill passed away on January 2, 2004 at the home he designed and built himself. He was known for his strong work ethics, positive attitude, and wonderful sense of humor.

Bill was a graduate of Columbus North High School Class of 1956. He was retired from the Maintenance Dept. of Anheuser-Busch. Bill also officiated high school football for 15 years.

A dedicated and loving husband of 48 years to his wife Alison (Meinhold): a supportive and proud Dad to daughter Debra (Tom) Tykodi of New Albany, son William Jr. “Chip” Webber of Westerville, and daughter Susan (Eddie) Milby of Grove City. Grandpa’s pranks and practical jokes will be missed by grandchildren Becky Tykodi, Maggie & Andy Webber, and E.J. & Claire Milby. Bill assisted in raising nephew Paul (Karen) Hocter of Clarklake, MI and nieces Dottie Maccagnone, Shirley Cochran, and Paula Showalter. Bill is also survived by brothers Joseph Jr. (Audrey) and Daniel (Gloria) of Columbus and many other family members. He will be sadly missed by his best pal “Lucky”.

The family would like to thank Vista Care Hospice with special thanks to nurse Stephanie.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday January 5, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury, where funeral services will be held TUESDAY 11:00 a.m., interment Sunbury Memorial Park.
