William Joseph Fournier

William Joseph “Bill” Fournier, 66, of Galion and formerly of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at home.

Born Aug. 28, 1946 in Detroit, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Celia Wojciechowski Fournier.

Following graduation from Mansfield Senior High School in 1964 Bill worked at Hartman Electric, Mansfield Tire and Ideal Electric. He then moved to New Mexico and worked as a driller in the oil fields of New Mexico and West Texas retiring and returning to Mansfield in 1982. Bill was full of love and laughter and enjoyed playing guitar, singing, making up songs and making others laugh.

Bill was the loving father of Vincent Fournier of Galion and Jason Rimmer of Pittsburgh; loving grandfather of Cole and Grant Fournier; loving Godfather of Jazmin and Ellise Sloan of Galion and loving brother of Mike Patricia Fournier and Robert Fournier, of Mansfield.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Fournier and a sister-in-law, Mary Fournier.

A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion.
