William J. Sox, age 69 of Delaware died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, February 20, 2002 at Grady Memorial Hospital.

He was born July 28, 1932 in McKees Rocks, PA to the late Joseph and Anna Vasilak Sox. He worked as a supervisor for General Electric, Worthington until retiring in 1985. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and gardening.

Survived by his wife of 48 years: Jean (Bozek) Sox; Sons: Steven (Sandra) Sox of Muskegon, MI, Craig Sox of Delaware; Daughters: Rene (Doug) Vance of Delaware, Lisa (Gary) Cooper of Delaware; 9 Grandchildren: Christopher, Kellie, Tyler, Sydney, Stacy, Wesley, Melissa, Lauren, and Kevin.

Brother: Raymond Sox of Clinton Twp., MI; Sisters: Betty (Steve) Glodich of Sterling Heights MI, Elaine (Gerald) Rubel of Sterling Heights, MI.

Friends may call Friday 6-9 p.m., prayer service 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the Mass at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 75 W. William St. (SR 36), Delaware. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, Delaware, Fr. David Sizemore Celebrant. Interment St. Mary Cemetery with military honors provided by the Delaware County Veterans Assoc.
