William F. Wisker, age 85, of Centerburg, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Knox Community Hospital.

He was born on December 17, 1924 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Eleanor (Cummins) Wisker. William was employed at Trans World Airlines (T.W.A.) from which he retired as the Parts Manager. He was a member of the Divinity Lutheran Church in Gahanna and also was a member of the Gahanna Lions Club. William enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, of over sixty-three years, Thelma F. (DeVore) Wisker; two daughters, Ann (Tom Sr.) Ruffner of Centerburg, Nora Lee (Greg Sr.) Patterson of Oxford, Alabama; three grandchildren, Gregory, Michael, and Matthew Patterson; a great grandson Emmanuel Patterson; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, William was preceded in death by his sister, Vera Spring.

There will be no calling hours. The family will observe a private service at a later date. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of William F. Wisker.
