William E. Johnson, 63, of South Main Street, Mt. Gilead, Ohio died Sunday, July 14, 2002 in the home of his sister.
He was born in Marion, Ohio on July 25, 1938, the son of the late William G. and Ora W. Morris Johnson. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-59. He worked for General Motors in Ontario for 30 years as an inspector and die setter. Bill was a member of the Am Vets Post #87, the Marion American Legion Post and the Marion Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed stock car racing, fishing, and making his own tackle.
He is survived by three sons David E. Johnson of Mt. Gilead, OH, Danny L. Johnson of Marion, OH, and William C. (Jacqueline) Johnson of Caledonia, OH; 5 grandchildren; two brothers Ron Johnson of Wyandot, OH and Richard Johnson of Marion, OH; a sister Janice Brammer of Cardington, OH; and his former wife Marjorie J. Worcester of Caledonia, OH.
A stepson Steve Detwiler also preceded him in death.
