William E. “Bill” Dean, Jr., age 72, of Delaware, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2007 at his residence, following an extended illness.

Born on December 27, 1934 in Wayne, West Virginia, Mr. Dean lived for most all of his life in Delaware. He had served in the U.S.Army and was stationed in Germany. He had been employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation as a project inspector for over 33 years. He was a member of the Delaware V.F.W. and the Eagle’s Club. He enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his wife- Allison (Davenport) Dean; his daughter- Deena Steck (Forrest) of Delaware; two sons- Steve Dean (Sharon) of Columbus and Alan Dean (Monika) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; two grandchildren- Brandon Dean and Sierra Dean, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents- William E. Dean, Sr. and Della (Jackson) Dean.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 12, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 West William, Delaware, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Delaware.
