William D. Moran, age 49, of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Knox Community Hospital. He was born on June 28, 1969 in Mount Vernon, Ohio.

Billy was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Mount Vernon.  He enjoyed fishing, but most important to him was the quality time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Rhonda (Birchfield) Moran whom he married on March 24, 2012; his mother, Sharon (Harry) Wimer, his children, Yawna Everhart, Kurstain Everhart, Christopher (Gabby) Birchfield and Kyle Smith all of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Patrick (Cindy) McManaway, Charles (Jenny) Moran, James S. (Melinda) Moran, Melissa Moran, David (Missy) Harding and Susan Harding all of Mount Vernon and Bretta Troxel of Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his father James D. Moran Sr.; a sister, Melissa Moran, a half-brother, James D. Moran Jr.; grandparents, Bill and Esther Alberts and Roscoe and Lena Burson; father-in-law, Ronald Birchfield Sr.

The family will hold a memorial service at the Apostolic Christian Church . on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11 a.m..  The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of William D. Moran.
