William D. Jackson Sr.

William D. Jackson Sr., age 82 of Sunbury died Wednesday evening October 5, 2005 at Rocky Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Gahanna.
He was born in Fort Knox, Ky. on April 4, 1923 to the late William and Della E. (Williams) Jackson. He retired from Atlas Linen Supply after 35 years of service and was part owner of J&J Carpet. Member of University Lodge #631 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Shrine, Tri Village Shrine, Swiss Club, Crab Club, Sunbury Eagles and Delaware Elks #76, ATA-NRA. He enjoyed hunting, playing poker, trying his luck at the slots, and fishing on Lake Erie.
Survived by Son and Daughter-in-law: William Jr. and Nancy of Sunbury, Daughter and Son-in-law: Carol Sue and Roy Barr of Richwood, Grandson: William D. III (Laura), Granddaughters: Wendy (Jerry) Pauly, Carey (Robert) Amato, Sherry (Dan) Eck, Kelly (Mike) Serrott and 10 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by Great Granddaughter: Erica Marie Amato.
Friends may call at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury Friday from 5-8 p.m., Masonic services at 8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday 11:30 a.m. Internment will follow in the Sunbury Memorial Park.
