William A. “Bill” Mitchell, 62, of Medina, and formerly of Delaware, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at the Hospice of Medina County, Medina.

He was born on August 30, 1952 in Delaware, and was the son of the late William Thomas Mitchell and Alice Lou (Patingale) Mitchell. He was a 1970 Graduate of Buckeye Valley High School and then had attended the Ohio State University. Bill was a General Manager, for the Michael Day Enterprises in Wadsworth, OH, for a number of years.

He was the kind of man that when he was involved in work or activities, he gave it his all. Bill loved playing golf and in fact had a hole-in-one on hole #12 at the Longaberger Golf Club. He also loved playing softball and played til the age of 50. He enjoyed random trivia-worthless knowledge, and more recently had started painting in his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife- Patricia R. Mitchell, whom he married on April 8, 1972; son- Wm. Ryan Mitchell of Delaware; daughter- Lisa Mitchell (Chris Diaz) of Columbus; three grandchildren- Devan, Avery and Charlotte; two brothers- Jim (Pam) Mitchell of Ashley and Bob (Sue) Mitchell of Hudson, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 4-7 p.m., at the Snyder Rodman Funeral Center, 1510 West William Street, at Valleyside Drive, Delaware, where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with Celebrant Don Lockwood, officiating.  Burial will be in the Ashley Union Cemetery, Ashley.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Hospice of Medina County, 5075 Windfall Road, Medina, OH  44256, or to the donor’s favorite choice.
